Successful Start-Up of 10 - end VarioFil PP FDY spinning line in the USA

Remscheid, April 22, 2014 - This year, BB Engineering GmbH (BBE) located in Remscheid Germany, joint venture of the Oerlikon Manmade Fibers division of Oerlikon Textile GmbH & Co. KG and Brückner Group GmbH, has successfully completed the start-up of a 10 – end PP FDY spinning line VarioFil with WINGS* at Global Textile Alliance Inc. (GTA) in Reidsville/NC, USA. The new VarioFil line enables GTA to produce dope-dyed PP filament fibers with highest quality requirements and is the first one in the US using WINGS technology.
“Working with the BBE Team to implement this lengthy design to start-up processes was very demanding, yet both companies achieved all the goals outlined in our original plans. We are extremely pleased with the technology and the overall support from the entire BBE organization.” (Steven M. Graven, CEO, Global Textile Alliance, Inc.)

Since BBE took over the VarioFil business from Barmag in 2008, many projects have been completed successfully at customers all around the world.
With a VarioFil spinning line, BBE’s customers have the ideal production line for a great variety of products in small and medium lot sizes. Whether POY or FDY, a wide range of denier or a huge amount of different colours, VarioFil is the perfect solution to customers, who have to face the challenges of a dynamic market rapidly using proven and latest technology from Oerlikon Barmag, e.g. WINGS winder.
